Pag Island
The southernmost island of the Kvarner archipelago is known for its beautiful bays, clean pebble/sand beaches and clear calm sea. The main tourist centres are the town of Pag and Novalja, where all the necessary facilities (shops, hospitals, pharmacies, etc.) and institutions are located.
The island is very accessible. To the southeast (from the A1 motorway and in the direction of Zadar) it is connected to the mainland by a bridge. It is also possible to use the Žigljen ferry, which connects the northeast coast of the island with the mainland.
In the vicinity you will find a number of beautiful historical towns (Zadar, Biograd na Moru, Nin), famous national parks (Paklenica Krka, Kornati) or protected areas Velebit and Telašćica.
Stará Novalja
Stará Novalja is located in the northern part of the island of Pag. The resort is a popular destination for families with children thanks to its beautiful sandy beaches with gradual access to the sea, as well as for couples looking for tranquility, romantic places and comfortable accommodation. The waters in Stará Novalja Bay are warm, crystal clear and calm. There are also several restaurants, a shop, a bakery, beach bars and a small water park by Planjka beach. There is a walkway around the bay suitable for walking and running.
The area is also a paradise for sports divers. There is a Czech diving centre right in Stará Novalja, which offers a number of diving courses. In addition, there are cycling trails or the Straško sports and recreation centre in Novalja.
